BURNS, Ore., - Two Idaho men were killed Wednesday after a rollover crash in Eastern Oregon.
Oregon State Police says the crash occurred on Highway 95 south of Jordan Valley. They say at about 10:20 p.m., a 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Ron Tibbett, 46 was northbound on Highway 95 near milepost 63 when, for an unknown reason, it drifted off the southbound shoulder. Police say the Wilder, Idaho resident over-corrected, hitting a fog marker and slid sideways across the highway where it rolled multiple times before coming to rest in a field facing westbound. Tibbett and his passenger, Joseph Geary, 50, of Marsing, also died at the scene. Police don't believe seatbelts were used. Two dogs in the vehicle were also deceased at the scene. |
