Trial for S. Idaho woman will be moved

SHOSHONE, Idaho (AP) — The trial of a southern Idaho woman accused of plotting the shooting of her former father-in-law, who survived, will be moved to another county.
The Times-News reports that 5th District Judge John Butler ruled Tuesday that 34-year-old Traci Hadden will be tried in nearby Jerome County or Minidoka County because community bias is too great in Lincoln County. Shoshone businessman Craig Hadden was shot four times April 1, once in the right arm and three times in his back, as he stood outside his Shoshone home. Traci Hadden is charged with aiding and abetting 1st degree murder, solicitation of 1st degree murder, and grand theft by possession. Police say 16-year-old Michael Cannon did the shooting, and he is charged with attempted 1st degree murder with a gun enhancement. Blue Hadden, Traci Hadden's 15-year-old son, is charged with accessory to commit a felony and grand theft by possession. They have not entered pleas. ___ Information from: The Times-New |
