Oregon cyclist 'may have been pushed' into traffic

By KATU NewsPORTLAND, Ore. – Portland police say a cyclist heard arguing with someone early Wednesday morning in north Portland may have been pushed into the path of oncoming traffic. The cyclist died after being taken to a hospital. Investigators said the cyclist may have been hit by two vehicles, both of which stopped. The drivers are being interviewed by police officers. No identification information for the cyclist has been released. The identity of the cyclist has not been released. Investigators are trying to find the person the cyclist was arguing with. No description of the wanted person has been released. The incident took place near North Haven Street and North Willamette Boulevard at about 2:30 a.m. The University of Portland campus is near the location. Witnesses, none of whom police say actually saw the incident, report they heard heard loud arguing before the cyclist was hit. The Major Crash Team is on scene investigating the incident.
