MELBA - Students at Melba Middle/High School were forced to be evacuated after two to three students fell ill Monday.

School officials say students from Melba Elementary were at the school practicing for a musical performance Monday afternoon at about 2 p.m. Later on, district officials say some students experienced dizziness and then one later fell and cut their chin. Another student also felt queasy.

As a precaution, HAZMAT was called in. They haven't found anything yet, but they are still investigating.

Buses were brought to the school and picked up the students at the normally scheduled time in the afternoon to take them home. Some athletic events have been canceled.
