EMMETT - A woman injured in a Highway 16 crash last week has died as a result of her injuries.

The Ada County Coroner's office says Heidi Lund, 40, died Monday night at St. Alphonsus.

Two other people were hurt in the crash on Highway 16 Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Idaho State Police says Heidi Lund, 40, was driving north bound in the south bound lane of travel in a 1989 Nissan pickup when she struck a 2005 Ford pickup driven by Pamela R. Crosby, 56, of Emmett head-on.

Lund's passenger Darrell Lund, 39, and Crosby's passenger John J. Crosby, 28, were transported by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus for treatment of injuries sustained. Pamela Crosby was not injured.

The highway was closed for about two hours as crews investigated.

ISP says seatbelts were not worn by the Lunds while the Crosbys were wearing seatbelts. It is unknown if alcohol is a factor at this time.
