Nampa man dies after motorcycle crash

MERIDIAN - Authorities say a Nampa man has died after a motorcycle crash Sunday in Meridian.

Police say Rocky Pickett, 39, was westbound on W. Franklin Road near Ward Street at about 2:35 p.m. when he ran into the back of a stopped car. He was transported to St. Alphonsus Hospital by paramedics and admitted, however he died early Monday morning.

He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, police say.

The investigation is being conducted by Meridian Police. No citations or charges have been filed at this time.

Meridian Police investigators is asking any witnesses that have not been interviewed, or anyone else with information to contact them at 888-6678.
