BOISE – Peak Broadcasting and Boise State University announced on Monday that Bob Behler is the new play by play announcer and director of network affiliates for the newly formed Peak/BSU Sports Radio Network.

He's now the voice of the Broncos for football and men's and women's basketball.

Behler comes to Boise from the University of Massachusetts, where he did play by play for U Mass Football, Men’s Basketball, Hockey, Lacrosse, Baseball, and Softball. In addition, he hosted a weekly radio talk show featuring U Mass coaches as well as a weekly TV show with U Mass basketball coach Travis Ford.

His prior broadcast play by play experience includes Bucknell, CSTV (College Sports Television) The NCAA/CBS Radio Men’s Basketball Tournament (March Madness), the Goodwill Games for Turner Broadcasting and the University of Georgia among others.

He has also provided fill in weekend anchor duties on the ESPN Radio Network as well as hosted a daily three hour talk show on WNNZ Radio in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Behler was also honored by the Associated Press for the “Best Sports Radio Play by Play” in Massachusetts and Rhode Island seven times. (2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007.)

Behler's first live game broadcast will be on Aug. 30 when BSU takes on Idaho State from Broncos Stadium.
