What a finish! Trailing by a point in the team standings, 1A's Liberty Charter school needed a 7th-or-better finish in the season's final race, the 4x400 relay to win the title. LC placed 5th, jumping into first place and earning the school its first-ever state title.

Another notable from Saturday: Payette runner Dominic Bolin, already with a victory in the 3200m under his belt, won the 800 and 1600 meter races. This is the second year in a row Bolin has captured first in those three events.

His Payette Pirates just missed a state title - 4.5 points behind champion Kimberly.
